Fragmented: Psychological Self-Portrait Series
Fragmented: Psychological Self-Portrait Series
This self-portrait series explores psychological separation, fear of myself and my emotions, and the trauma that accompanies change. The process of these portraits was sporadic and unplanned. Each day for nine days I drew how I was feeling. The purpose of this exercise was to capture my uncensored emotions of that particular moment, in order to convey the fleeting nature of my thoughts. I also wanted to use this as an opportunity to embrace my emotions and redevelop my fear of them into something tangible and less threatening.
